In tuna longline fishing, branch lines are the vital portion that connect the entire rig to the main line. They are hanged from the main line via tuna snaps at designated intervals; Sekiyama, lead weight, leader / hooked lines are attached onto the other end of branch lines, with multiple swivels placed in between to connect various portions to form the entire rigged line.

Our branch line is built with 3-strand twist construction, using 100% polyester yarn, for its low stretch, UV resistant and abrasion resistant quality. To maximize breaking strength, the polyester yarn is twisted directly without secondary processing to maintain its property. Further resin treatment is applied to the rope for enhanced durability and at the same time provide color options (red & green). The rope is packed in easy-storage coil, and size available from 3.2mm to 5.5mm to meet various demands for different fishing ground/target species.

We purchase only premium grade polyester yarn from renowned manufacturer in Taiwan. All rope manufacturing, including resin impregnation, is made in-house for total production control.
