Wrap Type Tuna Main Line is TTR’s signature product since its introduction back to the 1970’s; today it still remains as a top pick for its low stretch & utmost UV and abrasion-resistant quality. This rope is specifically developed for tuna longline fishing, built with 3-strand twisted construction with 100% polyester yarn and polyester air textured yarn, also known as ATY.

ATY is made by blowing compressed air to the yarn to create continuous loops and form a spun-like texture on its surface. It acts like a shield to protect the inner polyester filament against tear and generate a much more stable wear, compared to general filament type rope. The rope is further treated with non-sticky black resin, specifically formulated with tar inside for fishing rope, for utmost abrasion resistance.

We purchase only premium grade polyester yarn from renowned manufacturer in Taiwan, and we have our own Air Texturizing Machine to produce ATY. All rope manufacturing, including resin impregnation, is made in-house for total production control.
