Hi-Tenacity Main Line (HT-200) belongs to TTR’s legendary Wrap Type Tuna Main Line family. It is designed and developed for skippers who, based on target catch and fishing grounds, would like to work with a lighter and small diameter main line rope than traditional 6.5mm main line. Despite small in diameter, there is no compromise in breaking strength level. As indicated by its name, the rope is specifically tuned with right twist and balance to yield maximum tenacity, while maintaining easy handle characteristics.

Like our wrap type main line, Hi-Tenacity Main Line is made with 100% polyester yarn for its low stretch, UV and abrasion resistant quality, and constructed with 3-strand twist structure, with the same air textured yarn (ATY) wrapped around the center polyester. ATY is made by blowing compressed air to the yarn to create continuous loops and form a spun-like texture on its surface. It acts like a shield to protect the inner polyester filament against tear and generate a much more stable wear, compared to general filament type rope.

The rope is further treated with non-sticky black resin, specifically formulated with tar inside for fishing rope, for utmost abrasion resistance.
